Is Your Life a Work of Art?

01 Feb

Have you ever felt that you were playing small? That because you made choices based on fear, that you went down a path that was really not what you wanted?

It is those decisions that we regret that seem to haunt us the most.

Why not chose from your strengths – if you are good at music, then play.  If playing tennis is not hard for you, then play.  If you love to draw or paint, then play.

We are meant to create and discover the joy in the process.  Not recognition in the final product.

A young child has the natural attitude of a creator – she does not judge or criticize her thoughts and ideas.  Instead, she lets them flow freely and delights in the wonder of the process. She knows what to do, when to do it and is happy as she allows her inspiration to guide her.

The word “inspiration” is based on the word, “inspire,” which means to ” be in spirit.”

Allow yourself a small amount of time to be inspired in the one area of your life that you love.  Indulge in God‘s gifts to you, and use them to create something greater than yourself.  You will be amazed at how light and free you feel.  Your world and your problems disappear in the face of such a holy gift.

Create your life as a wondrous work of art, one brush stroke at a time.
